As with any group, there are things which define membership. What does it mean to be a part of the body in the Missouri Valley Christian Church? It is a simple as it can be.

There are 5 simple things which would indicate a member of the body here:

Committed to belief in God and belief that the Bible is His Word to us.
One of the cornerstones of faith is the belief in God, His Son Jesus, and that He has spoken to us through the Bible.
(John 5:24, 2 Timothy 3:16)

Committed to confessing Jesus as the Son of God and our Lord.
We are called upon to both confess our sins and confess Jesus as the Lord of our lives.
(Romans 10:9-11)

Committed to Baptism through immersion as a personal pledge to God.
Every example in Acts of someone giving his/her life to Christ specifically mentions that they were immediately baptized.
(Romans 6:3-8, 1 Peter 3:21-22)

Committed to gathering together and taking of Communion.
For thousands of years, Christians have gathered together weekly for the purpose of partaking in the Lord’s Supper as Jesus commanded.
(Acts 2:42, Hebrews 10:25)

Committed to living by Biblical teachings by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are called to transformed by the Holy Spirit into holy living.
(Acts 2:42)
